Generally i love surplus gear. I can order my size and know it will fit. Most of the time its good durable stuff. That is not the case with this jacket. I ordered a large long and according to the tag that is what i recieved. A jacket sized to fit a person up to 6'3". However when i tried it on i found several problems. I am 6'1" and The jacket barely reaches to the bottom of my ribcage. So i guess its a cold weather jacket for people that like to show off a belly button ring?!? The sleeves are far too short. As in they only reach 2/3 of the way down my forearms short. The shoulders are too narrow. Even if i wanted to wear a cold weather belly button showing jacket that only reaches part way down my arms, I wouldnt be able to do anything while wearing it as the inside shoulder seams dig into my arms when i zip it up. In short. This would be an excellent jacket if you were 5'6" with short arms that wanted to be able to claim you were 6'+ and had to wear a large jacket. Or if your last name was Baggins.
