The blade is made from German 1075 High Carbon Steel and are heat treated and annealed to about 56-58 Rockwell hardness. The edge is hand finished and polished to razor sharpness. The hardwood handles are made from hard woods of Central America, similar to Hickory. It is finished with a smooth grip and is known for its long durability. Includes a high quality, heavy duty, handcrafted leather sheath with a swiveling belt loop that allows the tool to swing out of the way while moving through brush or the jungle. The tool can also be swung out of the way while riding in a truck or car, thus not poking one in the side as a conventional knife sheath.
