Glass-reinforced nylon (GRN) is a high-strength, abrasion and impact resistant thermoplastic polyamide. Nylon that is reinforced with these glass variants has an increased structural and impact strength. Also, this type of enhanced nylon is very rigid making it an excellent choice as knife handle material. Also, GRN offers chemical resistance to common chemicals such as motor oil, transmission fluid and methanol.
