CRKT Rakkasan Tactical Fixed Blade Knife

This mission ready tactical knife was designed by veteran Austin McGlaun as part of CRKT’s Forged by War program. McGlaun was part of the 187th infantry, the first paratroopers to drop into Japan during WWII. Not having a word for paratroopers, the Japanese called these soldiers Rakkasan: “men falling from the sky with umbrellas.” The knife features a full tang clip point blade suited for detail cutting tasks and self-defense. It comes with a Kydex sheath that can be strapped to belts and bags.

Pro tip:
Recurved blades have a second curve along the cutting edge, creating an S-shape in the middle. This added curvature effectively makes the cutting edge longer and provides a wider degree of cutting angles. This blade shape can be tricky to sharpen though, as it requires continual reorientation of the edge.
